About

Lynda Ransburg LCSW RPT-S

I have over 21 years of post masters experience as a therapist. Before establishing a private practice, I worked in different agencies where I provided treatment for individuals, families, children, adolescents and groups who represented a broad range of interests. I worked with folks across the lifespan continuum. Throughout the years, I have also provided supervision for masters level students as well as to those pursuing becoming play therapists.

Currently I am in private practice where I continue to work with all ages and stages of development. With that said, I feel particularly passionate about working with children and families. Working with new moms is also a very important component of my practice. I express this passion outside of my practice by facilitating New Moms' Groups in the community. I am presently on the Indiana Association for Play Therapy Board, where I have served for the past 6 years. For the past decade, I have been a member of the Bloomington Task Force for Perinatal Mood Disorders.

As part of my professional development, I completed a 10 month webinar on trauma with Janina Fisher. Currently I am working on completing a trauma informed art therapy certificate with Cathi Malchiodi.

To end, I would like to add that I believe it takes a great deal of courage to enter therapy. Many times we feel disconnected, hurt or confused, and we seek connection and clarity. We thrive on our connection to community, nature, our children and our authentic selves. Connecting with a compassionate therapist can be life saving in these times. I would like to extend an invitation to you to join me on this journey.
